When it comes to running events, you could say Amsterdam has a personal best: the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. Held annually in mid-October, the event draws elite runners from around the world, with its 41st edition taking place on Sunday, 16 October 2016.

CineKid

The Cinekid Festival is an annual film, television and new-media festival for children across the Netherlands. The festival traditionally takes place at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek in October, around the autumn school holidays.

Daubigny, Monet, van Gogh

Enter the world of Charles-Francois Daubigny, a 19th-century painter who influenced Van Gogh and other famous Impressionists. The exhibition ‘Daubigny, Monet, Van Gogh: Impressions of Landscape’ can be seen at the Van Gogh Museum 21 October until 29 January, exploring Daubigny’s artistic development across four decades.

Museum Night Amsterdam
